Sarah Kapoor

Writer / Creative Director

Sarah’s career in documentary started immediately after Journalism School with her first documentary Don’t Pass Me By. The film was picked up by CBC, as well as her next independent doc, When the Lights are Out. CBC brought Sarah in-house where she worked for the next ten years, rising through the ranks from street reporter to Gemini-nominated Senior Producer in Factual Entertainment.

At CBC, Sarah created original TV show formats including the award winning 3-episode mini-series, Past Life Investigation (featured on Oprah), and the syndicated prime time show, Canada’s Next Great Prime Minister (nominated for an International Emmy).

In 2009, Sarah joined David and founded Pollinator Films. From 2014-2017 Sarah wrote, starred in, co-produced and co-directed the pair’s first feature film, The Bad Mother, about a woman spiraling out of control after leaving a career to raise kids.

Through David and Sarah’s communications consultancy, she has written hundreds of scripts for short and long documentaries, brand videos, TV commercials and PSAs.

Sarah brings almost two decades of experience in telling evocative and often humorous stories and structuring them for maximum impact

David and Greg have been working together since 1999. Greg has shot all of David’s films (including the MELD concept trailer) and most of Sarah and David’s consulting work as well. Greg was nominated for a CSC award for RE-WIRE in 2010, and then again for branding work in 2013. In 2015 Greg’s work on The Bad Mother won the team a cash prize at the Hamilton Film Festival.

Greg has shot hundreds of short brand documentaries, several long form ones, a dozen narrative shorts, dozens of commercials, a feature film and countless hours of Reality TV.
