A trailer for a play? Really?
Innovative theatre companies, like Crow’s Theatre in Toronto, are turning to video to help sell seats – and it looks like it’s working! The folks at Crow’s asked us to produce a short, slick promo for Eternal Hydra, for its run at the Factory Theatre in Toronto. It turned out that the crew loves the play so much we thought it best to just let them tell you about it, so we featured the main characters, the director and the playwright, as themselves, dramatically lit against a stage curtain, set to a rhythmic jazz song. The result had reviewers remarking about the trailer and sold-out shows.
