Childcare services are out of reach for the majority of Canadians. In most provinces, costs are soaring and parents, who are already working two jobs to make ends meet, are facing monthly childcare bills of over $1500 per child. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees, along with a broad coalition of social groups, are advocating for a national childcare program that would make this essential service affordable and accessible to the majority of Canadians.
